Lucky Girl!!!

I wake up every morning and realize I am blessed beyond measure. I have a wonderful husband that provides a great life for me and our two beautiful children. This morning when I woke up I thanked God for giving me this great man 14 years ago. Today is our anniversary and it has been the best fourteen years of my life. Like many of you, we also have had ups & downs, joy & tears, good days & bad, but all of this has only brought us closer to each other and made us better people. I never dreamed on November 5th, 1994, that I would, or could, ever love a person the way I have grown to love my husband. So, forgive all my sentimental wandering if you will, because I have found a love of a lifetime and I truly am a "lucky girl."

Nathan & I in Gatlinburg a few weeks ago.

Today is also my mom & dad's 42nd anniversary. They have been a great example for Nathan & I to look up to. Happy anniversary Mom & Dad. We love you both.

Vacation!!!!

I know it has been a LONG time since I have posted an update. I will try to get you all caught up on what has been happening around here this summer, but first I want to let you know what has been going on this week.

To say we were very busy this summer would be an understatement. I thought a couple of times through all the busyness "It sure would be nice to go to Tennessee." I knew it would be impossible for us to go but I wasn't thinking about the fact that God sometimes gives us the desires of our heart. To make a long story short, God allowed a business acquaintance of Nathan's to give us a FREE 7 night stay in his beautiful condo in the Smoky Mountains. This week we have had an awesome, absolutely wonderful vacation. The weather has been beautiful and we are certainly enjoying the blessings of the Lord. GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

My three favorite people having a great time.

We have spent several days "exploring" the Smoky Mountains. Here are some of the things we have found.

A beautiful church we visited on Sunday.

A cabin built in the 1800's.

An awesome view of the Smoky mountains.

I love to decorate my home for every season but my favorite seasons are fall & Christmas. Needless to say I have really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful fall decorations that you see everywhere down here this time of year. This beautiful display was at Dollywood.

More beautiful decorations.

I'll try to post more vacation pictures and summer updates soon.

Family Update

Well, it's been awhile since I posted anything but you all shouldn't be surprised at that by now.

I thought you might enjoy seeing some recent pictures of our family. I have three brothers and one sister and we all usually get together on Mother's Day every year. Below is an updated picture of my family. My brother Bob and his family were not able to be in the picture but the rest of the gang is all here.

Having Fun!

Can you believe I have acomplished getting two post on in the same day!!!!

I thought you all might like to see what Nathan has been up to lately.
We had Bro. & Sis. Eisenhart over for dinner last night. We all had a great time visiting but I'm sure Nathan had the best time racing cars with Bro. Eisenhart. Who knew childhood memories would bring out the "kid" in our pastor?
We love and appreciate the Eisenharts.

A good time was had by all!!!!

Tea Party

It has been a while since I updated my blog so I thought I would let you all know a little of what has been happening around here.

Jessica recently went to her friend, Katrina Hutchinson's birthday party. The theme was "Tea Party".
Several of Jessica's friends from church were there. All the girls dressed up and wore hats, and they all brought their baby dolls. Sharon, Katrina's mom, had everything decorated beautifully. It was a little girl's dream party. Jessica had a wonderful time. Thanks Katrina and Sharon for including Jessica in celabrating your special day.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures below of the party.
